Temporary Foreign Worker Program

The Temporary Foreign Worker (TFW) Support Services acts as a bridge between TFWs, the Canadian community and employers by providing orientation and information about employment rights & responsibilities, Canadian business culture, and other necessary tools that enable TFWs to adjust to life in Canada. The program provides regular workshops for employers and/or TFWs, and conducts individual and group orientations/ consultations as well.

We provide one-on-one and group orientations/ consultations in the following areas:

  • Worker’s Compensation
  • Employment Insurance
  • Workplace Health and Safety

  • Income Tax and Budgeting

  • Cultural and Religious Institutions
  • Accommodations (Rent, damage deposit, lease agreements and utilities)
  • Shopping (Food, medicine and clothing)
  • Transportation (Public transportation, driver’s license and laws)
  • Recreation and Activities
  • Law and documentation
